The Rose Group for Cross-Cultural Understanding is looking for short films that explore themes of diversity, humanity, and cross-cultural understanding.

The top three winners of the competition will receive a cash award of $500, in addition to travel to Beijing, China. Airfare, accommodations, food, domestic transportation, and sightseeing trips are included.

The entries must be 30 minutes or less in length, and can be submitted on DVD or VHS in NTSC format. All submissions must have been completed between 2005 and 2007, and must either be in English or have English subtitles. Judging will be on the basis of technical skill, creativity, and insight into the subject. Three top winners will be selected. Other winning categories are Runners-Up and Honorable Mention.

Entry forms will be accepted anytime between now and March 3, 2008 and winners will be announced in April 2008. Registration information, rules, and regulations can be found on this website.
